You create the schedule that meets your family’s needs. Visits range from a few hours to 24 hours per day. Whether it’s an occasional visit, regular visits a few times per week, every day, or overnight care, we can accommodate any schedule.

While some schedules require more than one caregiver, we strive to have as few caregivers assigned to a client as possible. We believe consistency is a very important part of building a strong relationship, and a key component in providing exceptional care.

Scheduling options:

• Hourly Care: Day, evening and overnight coverage. Schedules range from a few hours per visit to 24 hours per day. A regular weekly schedule helps ensure that the same caregiver(s) work with the client to provide consistency.
• Respite Care: Provides relief coverage for family or staff on an as-needed basis. Minimum of 3 hours per visit.
• Transportation: Our Caregiver will provide transportation to doctor’s appointments, social or religious activities; scheduled as needed.
• Live-In Care: One to seven days a week.

For those individuals and families who desire customized care including medication management, 24 hour monitoring and Caregiving, we at Family First Senior Care now have the Complete Care Service package.

Complete Care is unique as it provides comprehensive coverage 24/7 for those who are recently discharged from hospitals, skilled nursing or need extra care after an illness.

Fall Protection

With Complete Care, our clients receive a medication dispensing unit which eliminates the confusion of filling a pill box and knowing what medications to take and when. In turn, information about individuals is provided to their physician in real time providing detailed data to monitor the prescribed medications and how well they are assisting in recovery.

Fall prevention is important as well and with that in mind, we include a medic alert pendant with an AutoAlert feature so if you fall, loved ones and first responders are contacted even if you can't press the button.

Caregiving is the final component within the Complete Care Service. We carefully select your caregiver based upon your desires and in home care needs so you can stay where your Heart is...At Home!

Live-in- Companion Care Service

Live-in care is a great solution when assistance and companionship are needed around the clock. Live in care can be an alternative to nursing home care in some instances, and allows people to age in place, where their hearts are…at home.

How does it work?

Our Caregiver stays in the client’s home for continuous 24-hour shifts. Live-in services are appropriate when the client does not require the Caregiver to remain awake at night. The Caregiver is allowed to sleep during the overnight hours but will assist with toileting and other needs during the night as they arise. We monitor our live-in caregivers with spot checks, reviews, and regular meetings.

Live-in Services Include:

• Companionship, emotional support and recreational activities
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Bathing and showering
• Dressing and grooming
• Toileting and incontinence care
• Feeding assistance
• Mobility – Ambulating, transfers and exercises
• Transportation to medical appointments, social or religious activities
• Meal preparation, including special diets
• Grocery shopping and errands
• Medication reminders

Rest Easy- Companion Care Service

With concern about how to facilitate care for loved ones while they sleep, we at Family First Senior Care provide a 10-hour sleepover shift. During the shift, we will make sure your loved one gets to bed safely, has assistance with toileting during the night, and is bathed and dressed with breakfast on the table in the morning!

Services included but are not limited to Meal Preparation, Medication Reminders, Bathing, and Toileting assistance.

Welcome Home- Companion Care Service

Are you concerned about needing a little help after your hospital stay?

Our Welcome Home service will assist you with non-medical transportation home from the hospital, day surgery, rehab, or doctor visits. We then work hard to make sure you are comfortable, well taken care of, and safe.

Services provided are 4 hours of Exceptional Care, Transportation Home (if requested), Light Laundry and Change Linens, Light Housekeeping, Tidy Kitchen and Bath, Meal Preparation, Medication Reminders and Companionship.

Family First Senior Care will also provide you with on-going care should you need further assistance once you are settled in.

Respite- Family Caregiver Support Program

The Family Caregiver Support Program is provided by Elder Services in Spokane, Washington. This program is an option for unpaid family caregivers if the individual being cared for is not eligible for Medicaid long term services or chooses not to receive Medicaid funded long term care services. Also, the person providing care must be caring for a parent, spouse, partner or other relative. This program allows for caregivers to have a respite from providing care for their family member or partner.
