About Family First Senior Care

Owner Jennipher Ama's passion for working with seniors started at a young age. Her first experience was with her grandmother who had Dementia and lived in Jennipher's family home where they cared for her. Unfortunately, as her grandmother's Dementia increased Jennipher's family was unable to meet all of her needs in addition to their work, school, and family duties. Her grandmother was placed in a nursing home specializing in Dementia and Alzheimer's care. This change did not end Jennipher's passion but only drove it further.

Jennipher's heart told her that serving seniors was her life's work and that becoming a Registered Nurse would allow her the best opportunity to continue to serve seniors. While in nursing school she became a Certified Nurses Aide and had an amazing opportunity to become employed at the nursing home where her grandmother lived. Once again, she was able to care for her grandmother along with many other seniors. Sadly, her grandmother passed away shortly before Jennipher completed her Registered Nurses degree, but the memories of being her caregiver over the years will never leave Jennipher.

Jennipher went on to work as a Registered Nurse in the hospital setting and specialized in intensive care nursing. In her 15+ years working in hospitals, retirement communities, as well as nursing homes, she gained a wealth of knowledge as well as a belief that senior's deserve to age in their own homes with dignity and respect. This vision led to the birth of Family First Senior Care in 2005. Since that time Jennipher along with her dedicated team of compassionate staff and caregivers, have advocated for and had a positive impact in the lives of hundreds of seniors and their family members.
